The Weirdest Interview Questions

Uncategorized

Job Recruitment Maidstone

We all know by now the interview questions we should be asking, but, there have also been some pretty odd questions asked by interviewers.  In fact there are the unfortunate people who have experienced some of the weirdest interview questions ever.  Some of which resemble interview questions from the socially awkward David Brent: The Office.

Weird enough:

“Was the book Frankenstein really about state control?”

“how would you get a hippo out of a hole?”

“What would you do if the sun died out?”

These questions are a bit odd but the interviewer is looking for analytic or alternative answers ‘thinking on your feet’ rather than an answer.

Also some pretty odd requests:

“Please do an improvisation of a film (with potential co-worker)”

“Build a tower of paper cups in 1 minute that would not fall down when you put water in the top cup”

“Please bring a toy with you and explain how this reflects you as a person or a part of your personality”

“Sell me this pen”

Weirder:

Hmmmm it feels like a trap….

“If I gave you £40,000 to start a business, what would you start?”

“Would you rather know a lot about a little or a little about a lot?”

“Do you prefer to be right, or be liked?”

“Would you drive through an amber traffic light?”

Weirdest:

“If you were a box of cereal, what would you be and why?”

“Why are manhole covers round?”

“What would you do if you found a penguin in the freezer?”

“Would you rather fight 1 horse-sized duck, or 100 duck-sized horses?”

“Do you believe in Bigfoot?”

“Why is a tennis ball fuzzy?”

“What do you think of garden gnomes?”

If you’re on the receiving end of some of these very strange questions just remember to treat them as any other, take your time, breathe and give your best answer.  Don’t panic and blurt the first thing that comes into your head!  Usually the interviewer is not looking for the correct answer but rather how you handle the question, good luck.
