Finding the right employees to meet the demands of your business doesn’t necessarily have to be as challenging as you might think it is. At Earl Street Recruitment our aim is to help businesses find their talented staff.

To help take some of the mystery out of using a recruitment agency, we have compiled some frequently asked questions (FAQ) for employers.

1. What types of staffing solutions do you offer?

We offer a variety of staffing and employment solutions to suit your needs including temporary staff, contract and permanent placements.  These can also include seasonal employees.  We are happy to discuss and advise which type of employment suits the staffing solution you require.

2. What sectors or industries do you recruit for?

We serve a number of sectors and industries including (but not limited to):

  • Warehousing and logistics
  • Production (including food and fresh produce)
  • All office administrative functions
  • Accounting and finance
  • Legal
  • Sales and marketing
  • Customer service (including call/contact centres)
  • IT
  • Engineering

3. How can your agency help my company’s recruitment process?

From writing and posting effective job adverts, postings that contain the most relevant information and keywords, all the way through to the rigorous interviewing and vetting process. We use an effective method known as 360 recruitment, which essentially means we perform all aspects of the recruitment process. 

We will consult directly with you to understand what you are looking for in your applicants and then contact suitable candidates directly on your behalf to assess their qualifications and experience.  We will only submit the most suitable applicants that we feel are a good fit for your business.

This process saves you a great deal of time, money, and resources because you’ll only be presented with the best applicants.

4. How does your agency source staff?

Our recruiters use a number of resources to help source talent.  As well as our own website, we have access to a number of jobsites and CV databases to help us attract and find potential candidates.

We use social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to help generate awareness and interest vacancies.  

5. How long does the entire process take from initial contact to the first day of the hired candidates?

The length of time it takes to find qualified and suitable candidates depends largely on the availability of suitable applicants.

For temporary staff we can often find staff to commence work within 24 hours or the next day.  However, we aim to recruit temporary staff by the start of the next working week. 

For permanent staff the process can take longer depending on the skills and experience you require.  Typically, one to four weeks.

6. What types of candidate pre-screening techniques does your agency use?

Every candidate must undergo a pre-screening interview, this may be phone, virtual or in person before they are considered for any vacancies.  We will carry out our ‘right to work’ ID checks and also obtain references and apply for these where required, depending on the type of vacancy. 

Earl Street can also carry out criminal record DBS if required. 

We can also provide candidate assessments free service for clients.  We use FastPath and we are able to offer you a service tailored to your individual requirements.  These assessment can be specific to your industry and software your company uses such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
