Are you fit for anything?
We have all made great plans for healthy eating and ensuring we get our daily exercise and those first few days are great, but life gets in the way and our motivation fades.
Do not beat yourself up or stress if this sounds like you! Making changes to your fitness and lifestyle habits can be hard, so be kind to yourself.
We have put together some tips to help keep the motivation going and help you get fit for anything!
Find a workout you enjoy even if online is only possible right now. You are much more likely to succeed if you enjoy what you are doing.
Be patient with yourself. Fitness takes time, do not give up if you do not see immediate results.
Keep a diary. You will get a boost when you see how you are building up your times and activities.
Set goals that work for you. You are much more likely to continue if you are realistic.
If you hate something – stop doing it!
Just keep moving the worst thing you can do is to do nothing.
Find recipes that work for you, at least once a week try an oily fish they are so good for you.
Cut down on fats and sugars, watch out for the hidden sugars and avoid alcohol if you can.
Watch your salt intake, salt can be a cause of high blood pressure and that can lead to heart attacks.
Drink water, lots of it!
Always start the day with a health breakfast.
Eat what you enjoy – in moderation
Hit your 5 a day fruit target, eat it, blend it, hide it, but do eat it!
Whatever you decide to do just make sure you do something, even small changes can make a big difference and have you fit for anything!
