Job Description
Our client is a large logistics and distribution company based in Sittingbourne. They are offering an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a career in warehouse and logistics. The client is looking for an experienced order picking operatives to start work ASAP working on a temporary to permanent basis.
Ideally applicants will have counterbalance forklift experience (counterbalance or reach) with a current licence, however this is not essential.
The client is recruiting for the following shifts:
Mid Shift Monday to Friday, 17.00pm to 02.30am and every other Saturday 15.00pm to 00.30am.
The hourly rate of £14.29 while temping (equivalent permanent salary £36,782) .
The work will involve:
· Order Picking
· Load and unload trucks ensuring proper stacking and securing of products.
· Checking goods are secure and performing equipment checks, including basic maintenance.
· Following written instructions and keeping records.
· Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately.
Applicant Requirements:
· Warehouse and logistics experience.
· Strong order picking experience.
· Ideally experience of operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
· Ability to work well with others
· Ability to operate and control equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties.
