Job Description
Our manufacturing client based in the Borough Green are a leading provider of products and materials for the building industry. They are offering an excellent opportunity for someone to join them as a Production Operator on an ongoing temporary to possible permanent basis.
The successful applicant will need to be able to work as part of a team, follow strict health & safety procedures, and operate plant machinery to produce a high-quality product.
The hours of work will initially be Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm while training,
Once training has been completed, the role will move to a continental shift pattern of 12-hour shifts operating over complete 7-day weeks (days, nights and weekends) with the opportunity to earn overtime.
The hourly pay rate will be a flat rate of £15.25 per hour.
· Initially the work will involve the quality inspection of manufactured building blocks as well as the manual lifting, removing and disposal of substandard products.
· There will be further training involving the manufacturing process of the building blocks.
Applicants will ideally have:
- Experience of working within a factory.
- Previously worked 12-hour day/night shift patterns.
- Ideally (but not essential) experience of mixing and batching systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, basic IT skills.
- A good secondary education.
- A good understanding of health & safety.
Due to the hours or work applicants will need to have their own transport or live locally to Borough Green.
