Job Description

Are you a seasoned ecommerce professional with a knack for growing brands and boosting sales? Do you have a passion for the fitness industry and an interest in merchandising? If so, our client wants you to join their innovative team as a Commercial Manager with a focus on ecommerce. They are a young and vibrant startup, and are looking for someone with the experience, drive, and creativity to take their client stores to the next level. They are looking for a positive and inspiring commercial manager, team player and a confident communicator.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Commercial Manager, you will be at the forefront of their ecommerce strategy, driving sales and enhancing client relationships. Here is a glimpse of what your day-to-day will look like:

1. Business Development Dynamo: Spend 10-15% of your time generating new business, finding new clients, and helping to market their brand. Your efforts will expand their reach and open new opportunities.

2. Client Relations Expert: Communicate with their clients in the fitness industry, including gym owners and fitness business owners. Your goal is to help them increase sales in their online stores through effective strategies and personalised support. Work closely with Customer Service to identify customer experience issues and work across the business to resolve these.

3. Campaign Creator: Work with internal teams at the company to develop and execute sales campaigns that push merch sales through their client stores. Your creativity and strategic thinking will be key in designing campaigns that resonate. Identifying sales opportunities and ways to increase sales whilst defining and executing an innovative, marketplace strategy to build revenues and profits.

4. Content Educator: Create and deliver educational content to their client base, helping them grow their own merch sales. You’ll build a library of valuable content that the company can repurpose and share, maximizing results for their clients.

5. Scale Innovator: Develop systems and efficient commercial methods to generate sales within all their client’s micro-communities, which can range from 100 to 500 members, occasionally more. Your ability to create scalable solutions will be crucial.

6. Performance Booster: Drive results across all their client stores and be evaluated based on the sales outcomes you achieve. Your success is their success, and they are committed to seeing you thrive. Research customer needs and how they respond to adverts, create product listings that appeal to your customers, work with marketing teams on social media campaigns, look at web traffic to measure promotion success or make improvements, make business decisions about products, pricing and promotions, work with technical teams to fix website problems, write management reports on sales performance

Skills and Experience Required

– Ecommerce Expertise: Extensive experience in growing brands and businesses within the ecommerce space.

– Merchandising Interest: Experience in the world of merchandising or a strong interest in selling merch to different communities.

– Communication Pro: Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.

– Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and implement effective sales campaigns and business development strategies.

– Content Creator: Skilled in creating educational content that adds value and drives sales.

– Organizational Whiz: Confidence in working with multiple brands at scale, creating systems that ensure efficiency and consistency.

– Results-Driven: A proven track record of boosting sales results and achieving targets. Whilst being able to take criticism and work well under pressure

Salary: £28,000-£35,000 per year depending on experience. Bonus potential available too.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
