Our client, a well-established international manufacturer of print products, are offering an excellent opportunity to join them on a permanent basis at their site in the Paddock Wood area.
The role is for a Process Operative and the duties will include:
- To assist the operator within the manufacturing area, ensuring that satisfactory product is produced efficiently at minimum waste levels.
- Duties may include Mixing of PVC. Coating, printing or embossing paper or fabric backed wallcovering. Loading and setting print or Embossing cylinders. On or offline cleaning of equipment between production runs. Inspection and packing of product.
- To comply with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.
- To comply with safety and environmental procedures.
- To supply customers with good quality products and meet deadlines.
- To maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
Applicants will have:
- Worked in manufacturing environment and be used to dealing with production machinery.
- A basic knowledge of computers (MS Windows)
- To understand the importance of producing good quality product for customers and have good colour vision (colour vision test will be taken at interview)
- To be physically fit and able to lift product weighting up to 25kg
The hours of work will be rotating 6am-2pm Monday-Friday (40 hours) and 2pm-10pm Monday to Thursday (32 hours), therefore candidates will have every other Friday as a day off.
Salary for this role will be £26,187.95 per annum.
25 days holiday each year Jan to Dec, Mandatory holidays are end on May = 4 days 1st Aug = 2 weeks & Christmas = 4 days total 18 days from the 25 days entitlement balance = 7 days to take at your choice
Pension scheme after Qual period 5%EES & 3%ERS
Company Sick pay after 6 months
Training programme 1 to 6 months
Boots & uniform / clothes provided
Due to the location of the site applicants will need to have their own transport.
