Job Description
Our client is a large Kent based logistics and distribution company. They are offering an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a career in warehouse and logistics to join them working at their Sittingbourne site.
The client is looking for an experienced Forklift/Warehouse Operative to start work asap working on an ongoing temporary to permanent basis.
Applicants will have at least one year of counterbalance forklift experience, with a current certificate, or a certificate to prove a previous forklift course and test.
The client is recruiting for the following shifts:
Day shift Monday to Friday, 07.30am to 17.00pm and every other Saturday 06.00am to 15.30pm.
The salary will be paid at an hourly rate of £12.76 while temping (equivalent to permanent salary of £32,844 per year).
The work will involve:
· Loading and unloading of vehicles.
· Order Picking.
· Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of products.
· Checking goods are secure and performing equipment checks, including basic maintenance.
· Following written instructions and keeping records.
· Completing physical tasks quickly and accurately.
Applicant Requirements:
· Warehouse and/or distribution experience
· Some order picking knowledge
· Experience of operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar environment.
· Access to own transport
· Ability to work well with others.
· Ability to operate and control equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties.
