Bookkeeper (4-8 hours per week)

Job Description

Our client has both a an Insurance Services Company and Claims Services Company based in Goudhurst Kent and are looking to recruit Part Time Bookkeeper to assist them on average 4 to 8 hours a week with additional hours at end of year.

 The role:

  • All purchase and sales ledger
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Knowledge of payments from GBP/USD and Euros, so conversion is required to GBP
  • VAT return for the Claims company
  • Must have experience of using QuickBooks that is used or Xero that is similar  (may be looking to transgress to Zero)
  • Assist with FCA returns
  • Producing monthly management accounts for directors and FCA compliance
  • Accruals and pre-payments
  • Maintaining work in progress spread sheet for claims company
  • Liaising with auditors and accountant
  • Weekly update on expenditure and payments to directors including loans
  • Proficient at use of excel
  • Need to be able to work independently and be used to working on your own initiative and problem solving
  • Need to be able to regularly  identify the needs of directors in terms of financial position of the companies – profit, loss etc.
  • Well organised and accurate
  • Payroll for both companies
  • Hourly wage depending on experience circa £17 to £18 per hour
