Summertime is upon us, and with each new summer comes the latest wave of Graduates fresh for the picking from Universities across the country.
Whilst this is positive for companies in many respects, the increasing number of graduates who, unfortunately, have inadequate degrees and
qualifications for today’s job market continues to take it’s toll each year
Employers need to be careful to choose Graduates with relevant and transferable skills. The interview will be the key place to gain knowledge of this
from the candidate, don’t just depend on their CV alone.
Whilst assessing candidates in an interview, remember they are also assessing you, not only as an individual but as a representative of the company they’re interviewing with. Whilst beggars can’t be choosers, Graduate candidates are aware, now more than ever, that development plans and career opportunities within a role are key to their future success, and they will be looking for such incentives during the interview.
